Let's dive in.
AudioLDM 2: The Language of Audio
AudioLDM 2 is the latest work in the world of sounds.
Highlights:
Creating AI that makes music, sound effects, and speech all together might sound simple, but it's not! These audio pals are trickier than you'd think.
The audio types, like music and speech, got biases too! So, creating a super-smart AI that understands them all was like taming a wild beast.
AudioLDM 2 is here to save the day! This latest brainchild can cook up all kinds of audio using just one AI model. No more splitting hairs between different sounds!
How does it work? They wanted a secret code for all sounds, and they built it! It's called the "Language of Audio," or LOA for short. Think of it as a master key to every sound in the universe!
LOA doesn't need a sound dictionary; it learns by itself! It's like that one friend who can pick up any instrument and play like a rockstar without any lessons.
You can make your own symphony on HuggingFace! Also, you can check some examples here.
6 new features in ChatGPT
OpenAI released 6 new upgrades in ChatGPT.
Highlights:
Prompt Parade: No more staring at a blank canvas! ChatGPT's got your back with cool examples to kickstart your chat.
Reply Rodeo: Dive deeper into the conversation with a single click! ChatGPT's now a genius at suggesting smart ways to keep the chat rolling.
GPT-4 by default: Calling all Plus users! ChatGPT respects your model choice. Say goodbye to the "default dance" between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. It remembers your pick, finally!
Multi-File Magic: ChatGPT can now check out multiple files and give you cool insights. It's available in Code Interpreter beta for Plus pals.
Login Lounge: Tired of logging in every fortnight? Good news! You can now stay logged in and feel at home.
Shortcut Symphony: Imagine copying code with a flick of your keyboard wand: ⌘ (Ctrl) + Shift + ; And that's just the beginning. Try ⌘ (Ctrl) + / for the shortcut smorgasbord.
From prompts to shortcuts, this chatbot's the party we've been waiting for.
OpenAI launches GPTBot to scrape the internet
OpenAI's latest creation is GPTBot, a web crawler with a mission. It's like a digital explorer that scours the vast expanse of the internet to collect information for the future of AI.
Highlights:
Selective Search: GPTBot isn't just a random collector. It avoids content behind paywalls or breaking site rules.
Friendly Gatekeeper: Websites hold the key. They can decide if they want GPTBot to visit or not. There's a kind of digital door that can be opened or closed.
Robots.txt Rules: Websites can make rules using a file called robots.txt. They can say "yes" or "no" to GPTBot with this virtual handbook. If you want to close your website for GPTBot, then check this thread out.
Big Questions: But there's a twist. Using scraped data for AI can raise some issues. Things like copyright problems and AI models getting worse are concerns on the radar.
Pause for Thought: So, OpenAI has released this web crawler. It's on a constant mission to grab internet bits. This was expected, but there’s a little bit of worry mixed in there too.
GPTBot is out and about, gathering web data for AI magic. It's a mix of cool and careful, with a few question marks on the side. Stay tuned for more updates!
The next level of AI-generated avatars
HeyGen, a tech company, just introduced HeyGen 2.0, a fresh version of their AI-made avatar copies. It’s getting so good that people are starting to question what's real!
Highlights:
Cool Demo Alert: They put up a demo, like a show-and-tell, where the founder of HeyGen used AI to clone himself. That's a 100% AI-made copy of him.
Boosted Features: HeyGen 2.0 comes with super big improvements. They've made videos look way better, mastered copying voices, and even added different accents.
Speedy Voice Cloning: In the demo, they copied the founder's voice and unique accent in only 2 minutes. Imagine that!
Hard to Spot: They say this clone is so good that most AI can't even tell it's a clone. About 95% of folks might believe it's real.
Looking Ahead: This AI-made world is growing. HeyGen 2.0 is just the beginning. They’re planning to make it even better in the next year.
HeyGen 2.0 is turning heads with its super-smart avatar clones. The future's here, and it's quite a show!
AI cracked 51% of passwords
A cybersecurity company called Home Security Heroes used AI to test 15.6 million common passwords. Shockingly, they could break into 51% of these passwords in less than a minute.
Bad folks use different ways to crack passwords: brute force, credential stuffing, and phishing.
How to protect your passwords from AI:
Make it Longer: A password with 12 mixed-up characters takes 30,000 years to break.
Use Variety: Mix upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols.
Go Random: Don't use easy things like your name or birth date.
Direct Links: Don't trust links, go directly to the website.
Avoid Risky Sites: If a site lets weak passwords in, your info might not be safe.
No Repeats: Use different passwords for different sites.
Keep it Fresh: Change passwords every few months.
It's time to get smarter about passwords and stay safe from sneaky hackers
MetaGPT can replace WHOLE companies
There's a new thing called MetaGPT that's creating a buzz. It's on Github and getting a lot of attention with almost 20,000 stars.
MetaGPT tries to act like a whole software company. It gives roles to AI models, like engineers, architects, and managers.
Highlights:
How It Works: To make it do something, you just give it a line of text or code. For example, someone made a game in just 10 minutes with one line of code!
Agent Roles: This AI setup is like an assembly line. Different parts (agents) do different jobs.
Chains of Agents: When you ask it something, it activates a chain of agents. They work together to get the job done.
Two-Tier System: The system has two levels that make agents work together.
Output from Agents: Agents produce results based on what you ask and their "job."
Whole Software Agency: MetaGPT tries to act like a real software company.
Not Full Replacement (Yet): It's too early to replace a whole company with this. But it shows what might be possible in the future.
More Than Replacement: This could also let people start businesses more easily.
So, MetaGPT is like a big AI company simulator that does some impressive things. For example, it took 10 minutes to create the game without watching tutorials. It might not replace companies, but it's sparking ideas about the future of work and business.
