Let's dive in.
The fastest growing consumer app
ChatGPT has just become the biggest thing since sliced bread, according to a study by UBS. The chatbot's user base skyrocketed to 100 million monthly active users in just two short months after its launch. That's faster than TikTok and Instagram combined, folks! With an average of 13 million daily users in January, doubling the numbers from December, the success of this chatbot is truly something to behold. The AI community is all abuzz with excitement over this record-breaking feat!
ChatGPT rival from Google is coming soon
Whoa, it looks like things are getting interesting in the world of AI and search engines! Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the company will soon be adding some advanced AI features to its search engine, including a chatbot called "Apprentice Bard."
Pichai says that people will soon be able to interact directly with Google's latest and greatest language model, LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), in experimental and innovative ways. This move is a response to the recent success of ChatGPT, the popular chatbot backed by Microsoft and OpenAI, which has been posing a threat to the traditional model of internet search.
Sounds promising yaa. The only question I have is about the chatbot's name. Apprentice Bard. Really?
Microsoft Teams and ChatGPT
ChatGPT has made its way into the dominant with the integration of its AI technology in Microsoft's Teams Premium. It seems like a sweet deal, but I still need to convince my boss to spend the $7. The technology is packed with amazing features, including automatically generated meeting notes, personalized highlights, and recommended tasks, all with a sleek and polished look.
Also, Microsoft is on the verge of incorporating a faster and more advanced version of ChatGPT, called GPT-4, into its search engine Bing. Hey Google! This move is a significant step forward in the rapidly growing field of generative AI, and it represents a long-awaited challenge to Google's dominance in search.
ChatGPT paid plan
ChatGPT has just announced a new $20/month subscription plan! Say goodbye to "high demand" messages and get access to the AI technology that can help you with just about anything, even if it occasionally lies.
This seems like a reasonable price, especially considering that there have been hints from Sam Altman of future, potentially even more affordable, pro plans. Unfortunately, this subscription plan is currently only available in the US.
