The Big AI battle: Microsoft vs Google
The Big AI Battle was heating up and everyone was on the edge of their seats. And the results are in... drum roll please... it's Microsoft 1, Google 0! That's right, the little engine that could, Microsoft, is taking the lead!
On Wednesday, Google took the stage to show off their ChatGPT rival, which is called Bard. But hold your horses, because Google had a bit of a hiccup during their big event. They asked a demo question and well, let's just say they got the wrong answer. It was a bit of a bust, but hey, we still love you Google!
Talk about a reaction! As soon as the news hit the street, the market had its say. And it looks like the results are in, my friend. Google's stock took a nosedive, while Microsoft's stock soared higher and higher.
But all in all, this AI competition is fantastic! I'm rooting for both teams, and I'm hoping Google comes back strong to make it a tie. Keep the competition alive, guys! We're all waiting for the next round of this thrilling AI Battle.
Bing with ChatGPT
Microsoft just dropped a big announcement and it's a doozy. Get ready for this, because Microsoft is integrating ChatGPT into Bing and Edge!
Here are three things that are new and improved:
Bing and Edge are now powered by the almighty Prometheus Model, which is a more powerful ChatGPT. This means it's better at answering search queries.
Bing is now your personal assistant! Not only can it tackle tasks and basic calculations, but it can also answer questions. For example, "I need to throw a dinner party for 6 people who are vegetarian. Can you suggest a 3-course menu with a chocolate dessert?" Bing has got you covered.
Edge now has two brand new features: "Chat" and "Compose." Chat can summarize pages directly in your browser, and you can ask questions about them. Compose offers writing assistance for apps like LinkedIn and emails, and even lets you rewrite StackOverflow code. Just ask Edge to rewrite the code in Golang and voila!
Here are other things you can do with new Bing.
Wow, Microsoft is really raising the bar in the tech world. Bing and Edge just got a major upgrade and we can't wait to see what else they have in store!
Image-to-text trend
If you hopped on the AI bandwagon in 2022, chances are you did so with the help of ChatGPT or by creating your own AI avatar. But hold on to your hats, folks, because we might be seeing another wave of AI innovation coming our way.
Introducing BLIP-2, the latest in image-to-chat technology! This new model is trained to understand and chat about pictures. Can you even imagine?
And the best part? BLIP-2 is trained with the least amount of data possible. That's right, a picture is worth a thousand words, and now BLIP-2 can chat about them too.
It looks like the future of AI is getting even more exciting, folks. Stay tuned for more updates on BLIP-2
The AI bot from Quora to get instant answers
Quora, a platform with a wealth of knowledge in the form of question-answer style data. Well, they're taking the next step in AI innovation and it's a big one!
Their CEO took to Twitter last Friday and dropped a bomb: they're giving access to their chatbot, Poe! That's right, now you can ask questions and have instant back-and-forth conversations with multiple AI-powered bots.
Poe is currently powered by OpenAI and Anthropic, but the team has big plans in store. They plan on releasing an open API in the future, so developers can use any model they choose to make Poe even better.
It looks like the future of AI-powered knowledge is getting even more accessible and exciting. Let's get ready to chat with Poe!
