Let's dive in.
Jarvis + ChatGPT to control everything
It looks like ChatGPT is becoming the ultimate go-to interface for AI, and it's all thanks to this new project called JARVIS!
This cool project is taking collaboration to the next level and setting the direction of AI for the next few months.
Here's what you can do with JARVIS:
You can control and execute different tasks from various AI models via ChatGPT.
You can ask JARVIS to generate a photo of anything you want and even describe the image with its voice.
JARVIS will then call a bunch of different AI models that will do things like analyze and extract the pose, extract the object location of the image, classify the image, extract the caption of the photo, and generate the voice description.
Here is how it looks:
So, if you're ever feeling lazy and don't want to do any work yourself, just call on JARVIS to help you out.
And who knows, maybe one day you'll have your very own AI butler like Tony Stark's Jarvis!
Italy banned ChatGPT and Germany considers it
Here are the latest on ChatGPT's European escapades! Italy banned it, and Germany may follow, let's dive in:
Privacy regulator claims improper collection and storage of user information
OpenAI disabled ChatGPT in Italy and working with regulator to comply with EU privacy rules
Italian regulator gives OpenAI 20 days to comply or risk fines
Also, Italy is serious about keeping their language pure, with fines now being handed out for using English or other foreign words. Using English or other foreign words in official communications can now result in fines ranging from €1,000 to €100,000, depending on the severity of the offense.
Germany considers banning ChatGPT:
Germany's Chief of Data Protection, Ulrich Kelber, suggests banning due to security concerns
Concerns stem from the lack of legal governance in mass data collection to "train" algorithms
Kelber says "In principle, such action is also possible in Germany"
Looks like ChatGPT is getting a taste of some continental heat! Will other countries follow suit? We'll keep you updated.
Build an entire app using voice
McKay Wrigley is making waves in the AI space again, and here's what you need to know:
McKay Wrigley is a Twitter sensation known for his speedy building skills in the AI space.
His latest creation is a GPT-4 based no-code assistant that can build an entire app, deploy it as a workable website, and more, just by using his voice.
The no-code assistant can initialize a project and even create a GitHub repo.
This is wild! With Wrigley's no-code assistant, who needs to spend countless hours coding? Just sit back, relax, and let the AI do the work.
China's Tech Titans Take on Generative AI
ChatGPT has taken the Chinese market by storm, with Google Trends data showing a surge in demand for the chatbot. Now, two Chinese tech giants are jumping into the generative AI game:
Alibaba is set to launch its large-scale AI model on April 11 at the 2023 Cloud Summit.
Huawei will unveil its generative AI service, Pangu, on April 8.
While Silicon Valley currently dominates the generative AI space, China is making moves.
With such high demand, it's no surprise that Alibaba and Huawei are looking to capitalize on the trend. We'll be keeping a close eye on these developments.
Meta released Segment Anything Model
Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has just launched its new "Segment Anything Model," a game changer in the world of AI.
Here's what you need to know:
With this new model, AI can extract objects within images or videos with just one click.
The technology uses advanced computer vision, allowing machines to understand visual information like humans do.
Meta has also teased several upcoming generative AI features, including Make-A-Video, which can generate videos from text prompts.
It's free and open-sourced.
Earlier this year, Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that integrating generative AI "creative aids" into the company's apps is a priority.
Don't bet against Zuck and his team at Meta when it comes to the AI race.
